Keep browser proxy connections organized.

Manual browser proxy setup can mean revisiting settings and retyping the same host, port, and authentication details. The PreProx Chrome extension keeps those controls in one panel and clearly shows which connection is active.

Saved proxy profiles

Create named profiles with a host, port, protocol, and optional authentication, then return to them later.

PreProx account sync

Sign in to load supported proxy access associated with your PreProx account alongside manual profiles.

Residential location search

Search available country, state, or city options when residential location targeting is available to the account.

Connection feedback

See active connection status and review the exit IP and speed information returned by the extension check.

Browser privacy control

WebRTC leak protection is applied while the extension has a verified proxy connection active.

Quick switching

Connect, disconnect, or move between saved profiles from the extension without reopening Chrome network settings.

See the connection before you use it.

The interface keeps the selected proxy source, location, and connection state visible. That makes it easier to confirm the intended route before beginning an authorized browsing or testing task.

  • Clear active and disconnected states
  • Direct access to the controls used most often
  • Consistent PreProx account and product navigation

Common Questions

Installation, compatibility, proxy access, and account requirements explained directly.

Do I need a PreProx account to use the Chrome extension?
Not for a manual proxy profile. A PreProx account is required when you want the extension to load supported proxy products from your account.
Which proxy protocols can I configure?
The extension interface supports HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5 profiles. Chrome itself does not support username-and-password authentication for SOCKS5, so use HTTP authentication or an IP-whitelisted SOCKS5 endpoint when credentials are required.
Does the extension change my whole device connection?
No. It controls Chrome proxy settings while the selected profile is active; it does not require you to manually replace operating-system network settings.
Does installing the extension include proxy access?
No. The extension is a connection manager. PreProx proxy products are purchased separately, or you can add a compatible proxy that you already control.
Where should I install the official version?
Use the Chrome Web Store button on this page and confirm that the listing is named PreProx Proxy Extension and links back to preprox.com.
